Renewable energy researches are gaining more attention in recent years. Global warming, environmental problems and finite sources of fossil fuels accelerated the studies in new energy technology fields.

The main objectives of ITU Renewable Energy Division are the determination of the renewable energy potential in Turkey and to focus on understanding new energy technologies. We also make contribution to research and development studies related to clean energy sources in Turkey and attach importance to university-industry collaborations in these areas.
