Prof. Dr. İlhan Kocaarslan and his team will develop a digital platform for a scalable blockchain-based mobility ecosystem during the subproject “The Distributed System Infrastructure in the Next Generation Mobility Ecosystem (e-DSI)".

Within the scope of the project, by using the ability of blockchain technology to keep records that cannot be changed retrospectively in a distributed ledger structure with many copies in many places, to be transparent, traceably, and verifiable, to reduce the need for intermediary institutions, and to automate processes, the blockchain will be integrated into mobility solutions for more than 12 areas (digital vehicle registration, spare parts tracking, accident registration, insurance transactions, maintenance and vehicle recall tracking, detection of odometer intervention attempts, toll payments, traffic management, smart parking management, vehicle-to-grid services, carbon footprint management etc.).
