Prof. Dr. Nilgün Karatepe Yavuz and her team will develop a scalable fuel cell with an output power of 1 kW (300 mW/cm2) during the subproject “Development and Integration of Automotive Compatible PEM Fuel Cell Modules and System Components ".

Within the scope of the project, it is aimed to develop an automotive-compatible system (THS 6 level) with single-cell/multi-cell/stack integration by producing fuel cell components (electrocatalyst, electrode, membrane, and bipolar plate). The outputs to be obtained by the development of a fuel cell with an output power of 1 kW will enable Türkiye to capture an important commercial potential in this field and increase its competitiveness.
